Two amateur radio clubs joined Fair on the Air in August: the Clifty Amateur Radio Society, known as CARS, and the Triangle East Amateur Radio Association, known as TEARA.

CARS, W9EFU, serves Jefferson County, Indiana. Its FOTA profile was added on August 24, local time, and is associated with the Jefferson County Fair in Madison.

For CARS, the connection with FOTA reaches back to the Jennings County Fair in June. Members helped JCARA operate its K9J special event station, sharing their time and operating experience during the activation that inspired the platform. Their involvement offers an early example of what neighboring clubs can accomplish together at a fair.

TEARA, WA4UQC, joined on August 27. Its FOTA profile lists eastern North Carolina as its location and is associated with the North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh. That fair has an upcoming FOTA activation listed for October.

Club profiles give visitors a place to find each organization, follow links to its website and explore its associated fairs. FOTA also supports multiple clubs participating in an activation, with invitations accepted by club managers. That gives clubs a way to represent cooperation on the platform as they organize their activities.

We welcome CARS and TEARA and look forward to seeing their communities represented through Fair on the Air.
